Welcome to Jefferson Davis Parish Library! Our system is composed of the Headquarters Branch located in Jennings, Louisiana, three branch libraries located in Welsh, Elton, Lake Arthur and one Bookmobile. Daily, we are committed to providing services that meet the needs of the patrons of our parish.  Please examine the various links on this web site and the updated calendar to discover the services offered by the library system.  Some of these services include:

• offering the latest titles in print through the McNaughton Book Plan
• offering FYI classes (For Your Information)
• offering any title of your choice through the Interlibrary Loan program
• offering new additions to all areas of our collections:  books, videos, CDs, etc.
• offering quiet Reading Room/Areas that house extensive magazine and newspaper collections
• offering technology to support online research, email capabilities
• offering Children’s & Toddlers’ Story hours at various branch locations
• offering Playaways ( a Playaway is a self-playing digital audio book that comes pre-loaded on a small storage device)

Do visit our newest buildings in Lake Arthur and Elton. Each was designed to serve the needs of the patrons of the parish.
